Two Events, One Shared Conviction: Measurement and Testing at the Heart of Innovation

Over the past few weeks, the Gemesis team had the pleasure of taking part in two major industry events:  NI Days France and the Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart. Two different events, yet both leading to the same conclusion: mastering measurement, control, and testing is more strategic than ever.

NI Days: Innovation Begins with Reliable Measurement

It is always a pleasure to reconnect with our technology partner National Instruments and its entire ecosystem. NI Days are much more than a technology event. They provide a forum where system integrators, industrial companies, research centers, and major corporations share their experiences, technical challenges, and ambitions.

These discussions remind us that we all face the same challenge: producing reliable data that enables engineers to make the right decisions. Behind every innovation lie high-performance measurement systems, robust test benches, and software capable of ensuring the quality of the results.

It is also an opportunity to exchange ideas with our peers. Each company brings its own areas of expertise, know-how, and specialties. We firmly believe that strengthening the French industrial ecosystem also depends on these collaborations. Working together whenever it makes sense allows us to deliver increasingly effective solutions to manufacturers.

At a time when artificial intelligence is on everyone's lips, we remain convinced of one thing: AI is only as good as the quality of the data that feeds it. Before training models, we must first know how to measure, test, qualify, and ensure the reliability of the data. The real revolution therefore begins much earlier, in laboratories and on test benches.

The Battery Show Europe: An Industry Undergoing Rapid Transformation

The Battery Show Europe once again confirmed the exceptional momentum of the battery industry. We were fortunate to take part in this mission thanks to the outstanding work of Business France, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, and with the support of TotalEnergies. Over the years, this French delegation has become a genuine community where industrial companies, startups, and research centers get to know each other better and develop valuable synergies.

The German market remains particularly dynamic and represents an outstanding opportunity for French companies. However, another reality has also become impossible to ignore: the Chinese presence is now massive.

Chinese manufacturers are no longer present only in selected components. Today, they cover the entire value chain, from materials to complete production, testing, and energy storage systems. Their speed of execution and industrial capabilities are truly impressive.

This reality should encourage us to move faster, innovate more, and collaborate even further. It is not about taking the easy path, but about continuing to develop differentiated technologies, strong expertise, and the innovation capacity that have built the reputation of European industry.

Energy Sovereignty: The Real Challenge

As we left Stuttgart, one thought became clear.

Tomorrow's industrial sovereignty will probably not rely solely on our ability to manufacture batteries or electrolyzers.

It will depend above all on our ability to master the entire energy value chain: producing energy, transporting it, storing it, converting it, testing it, and using it efficiently.

At Gemesis, we are convinced that test benches, measurement systems, and validation tools are an essential part of this sovereignty. Without reliable data, there can be no sustainable technological development. Without validation, there can be no industrialization. And without industrialization, there can be no competitiveness.

This is precisely the conviction that guides our daily work: supporting industrial companies with ever more advanced testing, measurement, and control solutions to help build the energy technologies of tomorrow.
