DHF Series

The DHF Series Dynamic Heat Fluxmeters from Nextherm Sensing are designed for the detection and measurement of ultra-fast thermal phenomena.
Based on a thin conductive film combined with a Type K thermocouple, these sensors measure both surface temperature and incident heat flux with exceptionally fast response.
They are particularly suited to the instrumentation of pyrotechnic, detonation and engine ignition tests, as well as any application requiring high-speed analysis of transient thermal events.

Sensor Structure

Components Description
Metal film Silver (Ag) as standard – other metals available on request (W, Pt, Ni, etc.)
Insulating substrate Macor® (M1) as standard – alternatives include alumina (Al₂O₃), zirconia (ZrO₂) or hafnia (HfO₂)
Thermocouple Type K (Chromel-Alumel) integrated into the film surface for average radial measurement
Connection 1 m cable with miniature Type K connector (flat pin)
